Itaro is a loner who can be found virtually anywhere in the Heartlands. A grim, determined 26-year-old, she is a lieutenant in the She-Wolves and is currently on indefinite leave to search for her young sister, whom she believes has been taken by slavers.

Itaro is short (barely 5' tall), but very strong, agile and flexible. Her skin is extremely fair, and seems to remain so no matter how much time she spends in the sun. Her hair is light blonde and worn in a short pageboy cut. Itaro's eyes are a piercing sea-blue. She travels alone except for her hunting falcon, which provides the majority of the meat she eats (the falcon is not intelligent and will not fight for her).

Itaro's sister, Mirani, disappeared two years ago when an Ixinian fishing vessel was apparently attacked by pirate raiders. The bodies of the three other crew members of the fishing boat washed ashore, but Mirani's was never found. Itaro is certain she is still alive, and she intends to keep searching until she finds her sister (who would be 16 now) and kills those who took her.

Itaro is a good gymnast and a trained boxer who is quite good at bashing heads and brawling when the need arises. She does not warm quickly to strangers and usually discourages any attempts at companionship or conversation, but she will welcome help from any party that has possible information about her sister (the DM might set the PC's up with such information as an adventure springboard).
